We will typically wrap up sessions at 50 minutes so that I have time to transition between sessions and give your case some time and planning.

Consistency is an key for effective therapy. If you want to cultivate change and healing, it’s incredibly helpful to show up and do the work. Therefore, I see most clients every week at the same day and time. That being said, there may be times when you will want or need to meet with a different frequency. We can talk about alternative arrangements as these needs arise.

Although I definitely don’t think therapy should go on forever, I also do not believe in overnight cures.
Psychotherapy and healing deserve time and space to evolve at their own pace. However, as you see progress, it totally makes sense that our work together could taper off and eventually come to an end.
I have experience with both short and long term therapy (anywhere from 10 sessions to multiple years of work together). Depending on your situation and goals, we will collaborate on a treatment plan and iterate as we move along.

I think it’s helpful to think about therapy as college or grad school for your heart and your mind. You are investing in the possibility of deep change and transformation in all areas of your life.
My fee for individual therapy is currently $250 to $300 per session (based on your situation), and $350 for couples therapy.
Many clients with insurance can submit for reimbursement from their insurance company. (see “Do you accept insurance?” below)
Fees are payable at the time of each session via all major credit and debit cards.
Fees may increase on a yearly basis to keep up with inflation.
Please Note: You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can read more about Good Faith Estimates here.

I am an out of network provider for most PPO insurance plans. I can provide you with a monthly super bill that you can submit to your insurance to possibly reimburse you for part or the entirety of the cost of our work together. You can also use the superbills for reimbursement from flex spending, HSA accounts, and for tax purposes.
Please be sure to check with your insurance company first to see if they offer reimbursements for out of network mental health services.

I ask for one week’s notice for cancellations. If you need to cancel within a week, I ask that you try to rebook to another time available within the same or following week through the Simple Practice Client Portal. By cancelling more than a week out, you make it possible for others to reschedule into your spot, and for you to reschedule into theirs.
If we can’t find any openings, I charge for the full session. (Emergencies, like hospitalization, or death, are exceptions to this policy)
In addition, I allow a maximum of 6 cancellations per year. Once you’ve reached the 7th cancellation, you’ll be charged, even if you give a week’s notice. This is to support regular attendance, which is necessary for successful therapy and meeting your goals. It’s also because I save your scheduled time for you each week.
